Gold Cup semis tomorrow, go Guadeloupe!

For those that have been watching, the Gold Cup has been fairly entertaining this year, with some excellent performances by Honduras (in their win against a lackluster Mexico) and of course, the shock semi-final performance for Guadeloupe. Guadeloupe isn’t even a nation, as they’re an overseas region of France, with representation in their National Assembly. But they’ve done well in this tournament, upsetting Canada and Honduras to make it to the semis against Mexico. Interestingly, the team could even be better, as French stars Lilian Thuram, Pascal Chimbonda, Pegguy Arphexad are all eligible to play for Guadeloupe. They face an underachieving Mexico at 10pm EST, preceding the other semi, USA v Canada. Below are the two excellent goals by Guadeloupe in their upset win against Canada.
