Well, sort of. It looks like Konami will be releasing a new version of Winning Eleven in Japan, solely for the Playstation 2. Entitled J-League Winning Eleven 2007 Club Championship, the game is slated for an August 2nd release date. From early reports, it seems like it will have the usual engine tweaks, along with updated rosters for European squads based on the rosters at the end of the 06-07 season. The game will include licensed J-League squads, and (importantly) the first licensed South American club teams in the game (River Plate of Argentina and Internacional of Brasil). Furthermore, there will be a scenario mode and a first-person career mode.
