Opening Day Blues

There’s something inherently wrong about not being able to watch baseball on opening night (I’m a tradionalist so Sunday night doesn’t count) during prime time.  There is only one game on TV and it is blacked out.  To add insult to injury there is figure skating in prime time on ESPN.  I’m forced to watch a hockey game on opening evening…Ugh (nothing against hockey, I just like baseball a lot better).  I will *never* understand the MLB blackout rules.  Come on!  Is this Phillies or Pirates territory?  Orioles?  It couldn’t possibly be Nationals territory, could it?  I mean I’ve never even seen a Capitals or Wizards hat, jersey, or bumber sticker let alone the Nationals.  I’m going to blame Bud Selig just because it seems right.

I’m excited about the NCAA championship though.  Conley is so fun to watch and it’s always fun hatin’ on the Gator Nation.  Maybe if I turn down the volume Jim Nantz won’t put me to sleep.
