Need for Speed

A couple interesting recent quotes from our lovely governor here in PA (yeah, he’s one of the guys that was booing Santa Claus):

”I’ve told my troopers (a reference to Rendell’s police escorts) that I don’t want them exceeding 80 unless they need to pass or unless there’s some real exigent circumstance”
“We do the appropriate speed.  Sometimes we […]

Born on Dates

Sudz posted a few days back on the death a MLB 2k7 and how the hype of a game often last longer than actually playing the game. He brings up a good point but I think there’s a reason for the death of games…
Poor quality!
Right now, I popped in NHL 2007 to get some […]

My new interest

Last month I was invited to a friend’s house to hang out and watch UFC 68. The last time I watched a UFC fight was probably 10 years ago when it was in its infancy. Back then, on the recommendation of a co-worker, I checked out one of the UFC videos. I […]

Has everyone moved on? Is that the shelf life of sports videogames? The games come out during the preseason and are put to […]

Unreleased Madden 1996 (PSX) video

In 1996, Visual Concepts developed Madden 1996 for the PS2. The game was so poor that EA decided to not release the game, and worked with Tiburon on Madden 1997. And from this brief video, you can guess why. Odd camera views, terrible running animations, strange blocking…eek.

Opening Day Blues

There’s something inherently wrong about not being able to watch baseball on opening night (I’m a tradionalist so Sunday night doesn’t count) during prime time.  There is only one game on TV and it is blacked out.  To add insult to injury there is figure skating in prime time on ESPN.  I’m forced to watch […]
