Need PS3 baseball? How ’bout some Yakyu?
The news that MLB 07 won’t be released until sometime in May is a disappointment for PS3 sports gamers. However, there will be a big baseball release for the PS3 next week to tide over the adventurous sports gamer.
On April 1st, Pro Yakyu Spirits 4 will be released for the PS3. Since the PS3 is “region free”, meaning that games from Japan can be played on US PS3 consoles, this title will be available for American gamers. The Pro Yakyu Spirits series (second in popularity in Japan behind the Pawapuro titles) is unique compared to most US baseball titles, primarily because of the inclusion of NPB (Nippon Professional Baseball) teams and the difficult cursor-based hitting system.
